With the start of the new school year, I’m sure that I’m not the only mommy in the world with a kid that can’t seem to stop misplacing her belongings. In the first week of Kindergarten, Madelyn lost a sweater, a hair bow, and a water bottle. In fact she has lost 3 water bottles since September. So, in my frustration, I decided to find a simple way to label her belongings, that did not rub off like the sharpie markers seem to.
I came across an adorable website – kidecals.com.
So, I ordered my set of labels. I picked ours under the “daycare labels” section. They are called “Flutter” and they look like this:
Now, the first time I tried to order them, I ordered on my phone. I entered “Madelyn Rose” into this design and our phone number, but did not realize that the “Rose” had entered into the second line with the phone number. On a mobile device, you have to scroll back up to the picture of the label to double check what your label will look like. I, however, did not quite grasp that idea and pushed the order button without paying attention. So, I received them in the mail in just a few days and was so bummed when I pulled them out and they were not right. But, the lovely people at the kidecals company graciously let me re-do them free of charge.
I would suggest ordering them on a regular desk top or a laptop. Then, the picture and your entry are side by side and easier to see what the final product will look like.
The customer service at kidecals is top-notch and the labels come very quickly in an adorable envelope:
I ordered the “everyday set” that came with 12 two inch round labels and 24 one inch round labels for $21 and the shipping was free!
We have put them on everything! They are washing machine proof and dishwasher proof. I’m pretty sure you could also put them in the dryer, but I haven’t tried that yet.
There is one inside Madelyn’s backpack, one inside her lunchbox, one on the outside of her water bottle, and a smaller one inside each of her cardigans she wears to school. They have great suggestions and colorful pictures on the website.
Here are a couple more of their awesome products…
Have a kiddo with an allergy? This should help alert anyone with your child. You can also personalize it with their name or where their epi pen is in case of an emergency.
They also have chalkboard labels! I need a few of these for my pantry.
You could also put them on the outside of dishes at a dinner party to let guests know what the dish is.
Kidecals makes these “keycals,” too! I’m a bit partial to this one, of course:)
I’m excited about this company and I cannot wait to try more of their adorable labels.
