I use a binder for my lesson plans for work and I’m pretty rough on them, moving them around the dance room. The plastic tears and I end up replacing them a couple times before the year is over. I have recently been inspired, however by a lovely blog called “The Uncluttered Lifestyle” and I was inspired by a fabric covered binder tutorial that Lesha did. She has some amazing ideas on her blog – check it out!
Here’s how I did it…
I used my usual 1″ binder – it doesn’t matter what color you use – it will be covered up, so whatever you have on hand will work.
Lay out your fabric – wrong side up – and then cut about a half inch to an inch all the way around.
I used a spray adhesive to glue the fabric onto the front, back, and spine of the binder.
Then, spray the glue around the inside edges and turn up the sides.
Then, cut squares to fit inside the binder covers and glue those on as well.
That’s all! A super easy way to turn those boring binders into something unique and stylish for work, school or home.
What could you use a binder like this for?
