Madelyn was recently invited to a very royal birthday party for her friend, Carsyn.
Carsyn’s mommy, Lesley, let me take pictures and post them here for you – yay!
Lesley created this horse and carriage out of scrapbooking card stock – an adorable addition to the cake table.
She wrapped a pair of her pumps with Saran Wrap and then with clear packing tape, then slipped her shoes out of the mold to create glass slippers – such a great idea!
But the best part of the decorations was this…
Lesley and I are dance instructors at a local dance studio and we just happened to have recently done “Cinderella.” A couple of the set and prop crew members came and set up the horses and carriage from the show. The kids loved it!
They would take turns being the “driver” and the girls in the back would get out and dance around, then sit down, take a shoe off, then get back in to “ride home.” It was hysterical!
Next, all the princesses lined up to play pin the hand on the clock game – the goal was to get the clock hand right at midnight.
After that – Lesley put on some music and the girls ran around screaming and twirling until…
A couple of guests showed up from Wands and Wishes – Cinderella and Belle!
A hush fell over the room and their best princess behavior came out – it was amazing! Maybe I should dress like a princess when it’s time for Madelyn to pick up her toys…
The princesses were a hit – they read stories and painted little pumpkin coaches on each girls cheek…
The princesses danced and sang, too! Here they are doing the “Princess dance” – a bunch of Sleeping Beautys!
Then – Prince Charming showed up!
They gave each little lady a pretty handstamp, then covered it in pixie dust and told the girls to make a wish and blow on the dust – Madelyn told Cinderella that she wished for a baby sister – Oh, boy…
Belle and Cinderella danced and sang some more – told another story and took pictures with each guest. They were great!
It was a lovely party and one that made Madelyn feel like a true princess!
Happy birthday, Princess Carsyn!
